Her work with the leadership of the US Department of Health & Human Services’ (HHS’) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy/ Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ASTP/ONC), HIMSS, HL-7 and NCPDP, in particular, has advanced health IT and data standards. Shelly has shared valuable policy insights from her roles as Executive Director of the Pharmacy HIT Collaborative and Co-Chair of NCPDP’s Work Group 14 – LTPAC. Through her leadership and mentorship, others have been inspired to join NCPDP workgroups providing crucial expertise to these efforts, and ensuring that the needs of long-term and post-acute care were addressed in that work.
